Wouldnt another logical idea be to go to the Villiage planning board and ask for a sidewalk to be installed along the road?  I live on Route 218 and cant stand the fact that people crawl across the mountain, when it is a 55mph speed limit, but then speed up to 45mph in a 30mph zone the moment the enter town.  However, if your concern is your safety a more logical way to go about taking care of that is to find accomodations, such as a sidewalk, which will ensure that.  Attempting to embarrass unknown drivers, who likely dont live in town and wont read this site, is an odd concept to me.

I agree and I am going to start doing that effective immediately.

I sure wish I had a speed gun  or one of those speed traps that I could put on the road.

The last speed trap I saw was on river road near the beautiful mansion on the right hand side (real effective considering you can't really speed going uphill or coming to a stop at the bottom of the hill)  GENIUS

Let's start taking license plate numbers and descriptions of the speeding cars and their drivers. We can post them on this site and other public spaces.

I reside on shore road, and although this street is primarily commercial business' and village owned property I think people need to be more aware that there are people that live on this road.  I have tried to walk my dog and sometimes push my baby down the road in the stroller and have had cars whizz by me at like 40 plus miles per hour (swerving to avoid me when I am close to the edge of the road).   THE SPEED LIMIT IS 25.... Not to mention that since the snowstorms the road is pretty torn up and it washes out frequently with the rain.... If everyone could just slow it down a bit then that's a start.
