11/25/19-12/08/19

Arrests

11/27/19 Cody Matthew Love was arrested on a bench warrant.
11/29/19 A 74 yr old male from Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree.
12/03/19 Shantayne L Young, age 37, of Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, resisting arrest, ability impaired by drugs, field test, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 1st degree and driving to slow.

Incidents
11/26/19 Police respond to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Highland Ave. with no plates or registration. Vehicle impounded and 3 way summons issued.
11/26/19 A caller reported that he was the victim of a telephone scam.
11/27/19 Police respond to Tarkett Drive for a report of an upset male at a business.
11/28/19 Police respond to a residence for a report of an internet scam.
12/01/19 Police respond to a residence for a report of a woman that dresses as a nun that gets into people’s homes.
12/02/19 Police respond to Lyndon Lane for a report of downed power lines.
12/02/19 A caller reported that high way dept plow knocked down their mailbox on Russell St.
12/02/19 Police respond for wires down on Alder Dr.
12/02/19 Police and SMFD respond to a transformer fire and low hanging wire on Shore Dr.
12/03/19 Police respond to Angola Rd. for low hanging wire and notify D.O.T.
12/03/19 Police respond to Rt 32 and remove a tree in the roadway.
12/03/19 A subject came into HQ to speak to an officer regarding a fraud situation. His wife received a phone call stating that their grandson was arrested in Pittsburgh, PA, would need a public defender and that they could send $1500 in Home Depot gift cards.
Police contacted Pittsburgh Police to confirm that their grandson was not in custody and explained to the subject that this is a scam.
12/03/19 A subject came in to HQ to report identify theft. Her phone was turned off and someone had attempted to transfer her number.
12/03/19 A caller reported a low hanging wire on Twin Ponds Rd and a UPS driver stuck in the cup de sac due to the wire in the way.
12/04/19 Police and COVAC respond to Jackson Ave for a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries.
