With a touch of creativity and a few props, the gym at St. Thomas of Canterbury school was transformed Saturday night into a farm yard, with cows. pigs and hay. Wanted posters were plastered around the walls and anyone who misbehaved got sent to the pokey to cool off.
Cowboys and cowgirls, some 60 people all together, danced to good ole square dance music played by the Walker family band composed of five children and their parents.
The jailhouse was rocking, despite the fact that prisoners could get out of jail free if they had a brought a dessert for the crowd. Those who stayed behind bars seemed to enjoy themselves as much as those kicking up dirt on the dance floor.
