The Cornwall Middle School Band entertained holiday shoppers while they browsed at Barnes & Noble on Monday evening. The band played several Christmas carols under the direction of band leader Steve Kessler, who also plays trombone with the band The Big Smoothies.
The concert was part of a two-day fundraiser at the popular bookstore, where a portion of sales earmarked for Cornwall will benefit the middle school PTO.
Shoppers can ask that a portion of their purchases benefit the middle school when they shop on Tuesday, the 12th, and again on Thursday and Friday, the 14th and 15th, when sales will benefit Willion Avenue Elementary School.
