Assemblyman Skoufis Announces Equipment Grant for Cornwall Library
Assemblyman James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) has announced an $8,900 grant to fund the purchase of a new telephone system as well as a new digital microfilm/microfiche reader and scanner for the Cornwall Public Library.
The new telephone system will provide HD wideband audio with advanced audio processing and clarity; communication between the library and its members; internal communication from extension to extension; remote access; and more lines in the community room.
The new digital microfilm/microfiche reader and scanner will preserve relevant and historic documents, assist with research, and allow users to scan documents.
“Assemblyman Skoufis really has done some wonderful things for us,” said Mary Lou Carolan, Library Director. “He always delivers, is responsive and supportive, and provides our library with cutting edge technology. We are very appreciative.”
“I remain committed to assisting our local libraries,” said Assemblyman Skoufis. “They are often the center of our community and it is critically important that they have the resources to continue providing up-to-date services to the public.”
