Dear Editor,
I am writing to support the candidacy of Susanne Vondrak for Cornwall Public Library Trustee. Ms. Vondrak has served as the president of the library board of trustees for two years and as a trustee even longer. During this time, she has dedicated her many professional skills to help steer the library in the direction that will best serve the public.
I have known Susanne Vondrak for 15 years. I knew her first as a parent involved in the educational system. I then worked with Susanne Vondrak and her husband, Stephen, as volunteers at the Museum of the Hudson Highlands, which seeks to enrich the environmental education of children.
When I was the editor of Cornwall-on-Hudson.com Susanne Vondrak worked with me to build the business of the online news service and that is when I saw her professionalism and knowledge of the business world. I can only imagine that she has broadened these skills as vice president of Ondamed, a Cornwall-based business.
More recently, I joined the Cornwall Public Library Foundation Board where I was able to work with Ms. Vondrak again. I have seen her commitment to the Library and to listening to the public about issues, including how to meet the challenges of a growing population that uses library services.
I hope you will consider voting for Susanne Vondrak for Cornwall Public Library trustee on Tuesday, April 21st.
