Around Town >> Intersection of Rt 218 and Dock Hill Road

I live very near this intersection and thus travel it frequently and I have grown concerned over the last few months due to some close calls I have had.

Drivers heading South on 218 when approaching the fork with Dock Hill Rd seem to be unaware that they are in essence making a left hand turn onto Dock Hill Rd.  On at least 4 occassions in the last few months when I have been travelling into town (North on 218) I have had to emergency brake when a car travelling South made the left hand turn onto Dock Hill *without* yielding or slowing down.

I now use extreme caution when approaching this fork since it is a blind left hand corner when travelling North. This is a serious head on collision waiting to happen and I think the town ought to do something (perhaps a blinking yellow light as at the intersection with Academy Rd?).
