Community Conversation: Spirit of the Community
CORNWALL, NY – The Cornwall Public Library will be hosting a Community Conversation called the Spirit of the Community on Monday, November 27 at 6:30pm. This will be an open forum discussion with a multi-faith panel, including Rev. Suzanne Toro from St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cornwall, Rabbi Shmuel Serebryanski from Chabad of Eastern Orange County, among others. Library Director Mary Lou Carolan will facilitate an open dialogue discussing rituals, social customs, and symbolism, as well as who we are and what we do in our faiths. There is no registration required; all are welcome to attend.
The purpose of the library’s Community Conversations series is to focus on the aspirations people have for Cornwall and the lower Hudson Valley. The discussions present an opportunity that is open to all to meet, ask questions, share a vision, and get connected with the community to make positive change. For more information on this program, please visit the library’s website at www.cornwallpubliclibrary.org.
