Kenny Bates took these photos of deer on a bitterly cold day in early February.
He writes: "I shot these deer photos ) on 2/4/009 in Cornwall using all of my 432mm zoom lens. The sky was clear and blue and the air was crisp and cold, approximately 12 degrees.
The deer and the turkeys we observed were all busy looking for that last bit of food left over from summer that wasn't frozen or covered with icy snow. The other deer didn't seem to mind the cold and decided to lay down and take a snooze in a sunny place out of the wind. I think the deer like to watch us as much as we like to watch them.
