Guido J. Bologna, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 86 years old.
The son of the late Joseph Bologna and Josephine (Torello) Bologna, Guido was born on October 31, 1931 in Manhattan, NY.
Guido earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NYU in 1965. He retired from JSG Technical Services, Inc. in Goshen, NY, and previously worked for Abex Corporation in Mahwah, NJ and the Army Corp. of Engineers. He was the developer of Mine Hill Estates in Cornwall.
He was a member of the St. Thomas of Canterbury parish for 60 years.
A family statement reads: Guido was a quiet, gentle soul with a quick wit who always made us laugh. He was a kind and caring man who loved his family more than words can describe. For over 40 years he enjoyed his view from the mountain. He was loved by his family and will be missed greatly.
Guido is survived by his loving wife, Mary A. (Krieger) Bologna of Cornwall, NY; his daughter: Arleen C. Bologna of Cornwall on Hudson, NY; his sons: Guido Bologna (Heather) of Las Vegas, NV and Joseph Bologna of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren: Cody of Cornwall on Hudson, NY, Guido and Gabriella of Las Vegas, NV.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 10th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
