Obituaries: Louis Boselli

Louis Boselli, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 79 years old.

The son of the late John Boselli and Maria Ferrari, Louis was born on January 27, 1938 in Bronx, NY.

Louis was an active member of the National Railway Historical Society, O&W Railroad Club, Meccano Erector Collectors Association, the NRA and other civic affiliations. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker from Star Expansion in Mountainville, NY and a Model Maker from West Point, NY. A family statement reads: “Lou was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a patient man and a willing mentor to anyone that needed advice or guidance. His hobbies included target shooting, tin toy collecting, Erector set restoration, model train building and exploring the U.S. and Canadian railways”. His calm demeanor and unwavering friendship endeared Lou to all. He will be greatly missed.

Louis was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Josephine “Jeanie” Boselli in 2015. He is survived by his son, John Boselli and his wife, Diane of Highland Mills, NY; his daughter, Lisa Loscalzo and her husband, Rick of Tampa, FL; his four grandchildren, Nicole and Steven Boselli of Highland Mills, NY, Armand and Annabella Loscalzo of Tampa, FL; and his brother, Aldo Boselli, his wife Elizabeth and their children Janine and Matthew of New Port Richey, FL.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 17th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18th at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY following the Service.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
